the KID GOAT will perform live with electricity at the Red and the Black TONIGHT at 9pm!

I know we threatened that last week’s show would be your last opportunity to see Kid Goat until March, but we decided, since we did not get you a Christmas gift, to give you another opportunity to see us this month.  We will be playing the early set this Wednesday at The Red and The Black followed by the punk blues of The Mob Warehouse Band and the acoustic blues of Snakehead Run,   We don’t want to be the little band who cried “this is your last chance to see us until March,” but come out and see us cause this time we mean it, you won’t be able to see us until March. * 

The Red and the Black is at 1212 H Street, NE, Washington, DC 20002 in the historic Atlas District.

Hollertown is a DC-based string band with a unique take on the
acoustic Americana sound, incorporating elements of bluegrass,
old-time, and alt-country music.  Firmly rooted in the American string
band tradition, this sextet plays a mixture of originals, old
standards, and genre bending covers.  Join us for a night  of songs of
love, death, drinking, damnation and Flava Flav at Nanny O'Brien's on
Thursday, January 31, starting at 8:30. Nanny O'Brien's is at 3319
Connecticut Ave NW in Cleveland Park.

note from the deej: HOLLERTOWN is the perfect band to see at Nanny's, which is under new ownership and has really improved as a bar and music venue.  try it!  still the best Guinness pour in the area...and bluegrass only becomes more funny when it is applied to genre-bending covers, like Flava Flav and the Cure....
