happy new year, deej people!

well, we closed out last year by promising to present great music to you only when it works for US, and this show fits the bill!  

we first took in a Mark and Rue (and the O) show when MATT the ELECTRICIAN last visited DC.  and we were BLOWN AWAY!  of course we expected a superb show from MATT and SEELA, but the venue was spectacular.  that's why we will be there on 1-20 with bells on!

the O street mansion has to be seen to be believed!  there is nothing else like it in DC.  trust us, get to the show early enough to take a tour of the many funky, bizarre, cool, amazing rooms.  explore the secret passages.  and look for price tags on anything and everything -- there are literally tons and tons of furniture, knick-knacks, curios stacked on every surface and leaning in every corner of this HUGE intense mansion. 

we also recommend spending the extra $15 for the food!  we arrived to the MATT the E show and discovered a smorgasbord HEAPED with great food, from soup to nuts.  it was a massive selection, and all quite good.  let's put it this way -- it made the spread at the deej look like, well, um -- it's embarrassing.
